Happy Father's Day

Here are some challenges I participated in this week, as well as some Father's Day cards.

When I saw this week's "Tuesday Trigger: Rainbow Bright", I instantly thought "WOW"...lots of color - not something I'm used to, but hey, let's have some fun...and here's what I came up with:

This week's CAS-ual Fridays challenge is "Color Blocking"...I confess, I had a hard time with this.  I just really didn't know how I was going to use Color Blocking, and still have a CAS card.  Here's what I finally came up with.
And we can't forget about Father's Day.  Here are some cards for the men in my life.

Live well,
Trina

Make It Monday #19: Rock and Roll Technique

Hello - I love, love, love Papertrey Ink, so I really don't know why it's taken me so darn long to join in on the fun, and try out their "Make It Monday" challenges.  Their latest challenge is to create a project using the "Rock and Roll" technique, as demonstrated by Lisa Johnson here.

I really love this color combo, and I so happen to see that Nichole at Papertrey Ink use almost the same combo in today's posting.
And...I must say that I'm also absolutely crazy in love with their Anniversary Set, "Botanical Silhouettes".  So much creativity packed in this set - thank you Papertrey Ink!

Live well,
Trina

I'm a busy girl...

What a weekend...husband out of town, me, with very BAD sinusitis and an ear infection, left to defend myself with two kids, soccer try-outs, and a dance recital...WHEW!  And in between the craziness - the only thing that kept me going - my paper and ink therapy...aahhhhh.

Here's what I've been working on...

For some reason, I was having such a hard time with this color combo.  I tried and tried to come up with something, but that darn turquoise kept throwing me off - so I let it sit, and came back to it in the morning, with a fresh cup of coffee, and finally...the mojo was there...

This one was a fun challenge.  I decided my tic-tac-toe would be Emboss, Dies, and Buttons.

And yet another another...

And before I sign off...here's a picture of my little peanut at her recital.

That's all for now - have a great week!
Live well,
Trina

Challenge: CFC #5

Hello - hope everyone has been well, and that the weekend was kind to you.  I have several cards to share with you today.  The first is for this week's "CAS-ual Fridays" challenge.  I thought that since the last couple challenges were color based, I would try out a sketch.  I normally don't care for sketch challenges too much, because I think that many of them are too busy, but I like that the concept of this one is to create a CAS (clean & simple) card.

Here's the challenge:

And here's my card:

Here's one more card that I recently made for a friend:
